The 100-Day Subtract to Succeed Practice Begins Soon

Build a life that feels successful because you’re achieving what you actually care about — without burning you out, selling you out, or slowly taking you out in the process.

There comes a moment — usually quiet, not dramatic, unglamorous — when even the strongest among us realizes:

I cannot keep living like this. And I think the scariest part is: I don’t want to.

Maybe it hits you at 2 a.m., staring at the ceiling, stewing about what you should’ve said in today’s pitch (or fight with your kid / spouse / neighbor / contractor), and now you’re onto melatonin and trying to remember the rules of that breath practice that sounded so simple.

Maybe it comes on your commute, when the driver next to you hints at the life you thought you’d be living by now — the one that felt as successful as it looks.

Maybe it lands at work, where you’re presenting to a room your 22-year-old self would have knelt in front of, making points they’d have applauded… and yet the feeling you imagined this success would give you keeps not arriving.

We’re living inside overlapping crises — work, geopolitics, friends struggling, families stressed — and high-achieving humans respond the only way we were ever trained:
do more, care more, try harder, hold it together at all costs.

Except the cost has gotten too high.

And the truth is: more effort isn’t moving the needle anymore — it’s moving us closer to burn out. Or the temptation to sell out and give up on our vision of contributing the impact we cared about. Or opting out all together.

So if “just push through” has stopped working, and even as we practice writing a new date on contracts, the world is not exactly letting up on any of us… what does work?

A different approach. One that is human(e), connected and honest.
An approach that recognizes the power of systems thinking.

It’s called Systematic Subtraction.

And now, you can practice it with a community of people who are also tired of performing resilience… and finally ready to experience relief.

INTRODUCING THE 100-DAY SUBTRACT TO SUCCEED COMMUNITY PRACTICE

This isn’t a challenge. Or a productivity sprint. And it’s definitely not a list of habits you must stack before sunrise (unless you enjoy that, in which case… enjoy them).

This is a science-backed, community-based, customizable practice designed for real humans with real responsibilities and very real ambitions — people like:

  • Diana, who carries an entire global brand while raising a little one, mentoring step-kids, and trying to remember what “rested” feels like.

  • Jes, who swore she’d never go back to corporate after it wrung her dry — and now finds herself thriving again, because she returned on her own terms, without making her job her entire identity.

  • Michael, who is excited about retirement, and the freedom he’ll have to engage more deeply with the local conservation organization, as well as friends and hopefully soon grandkids. But worries about losing the structure, motivation, and identity of over 40 years on Wall Street.

This is for people in that beautiful, brutal in-between space: successful, grateful, and still… quietly aching for alignment.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

(and who you’ll become)

🤓 The Mini-Course (dropping through early January)

Twelve short videos — systems thinking, 3D leadership, diminishing returns, Stop·Drop·Roll — delivered in bite-sized pieces. Something you can absorb between meetings or while hiding from holiday guests for a dignified 7 minutes. With zero risk of “New Year, New Me” whiplash.

🗓️ The 100-Day Guided Practice

Daily notes — tiny, doable provocations to notice, release, rearrange — that build the muscle of doing less in a way that improves your life.

These are not demands; they are invitations to consider change. Small, consistent shifts — the ones you will actually do — are the ones that change a life.

🙌 Live salons with real community

January 21: RIP Resolutions — our kickoff ritual
April 16: Spring Cleaning — our closing gathering

These are live online gatherings with about 20 minutes of teaching, followed by questions and conversation about the practice of subtraction. No preparation needed, and you don’t have to pretend you’re fine. Or that you’re suffering.

Just a space to breathe out and remember how you’re really doing, and what might help that get a little better.

A multidimensional definition of success that actually fits your life

Not the one-dimensional version you inherited. The ME–WE–WORLD version that sustains your ambition and your nervous system… while giving you back the feeling of working toward something that actually matters.

🪶 Clarity on what to put down

This practice won’t overwhelm your life — it will lighten it. You won’t get more to do: you’ll get clarity on what to put down so you have less to carry.

🧐 WHO THIS IS FOR

If you are the person everyone relies on — at home, at work, in your friend group, in the hallways and zoom side chats where care happens — and you crave a life that feels less like managing and more like mattering…

If you’ve been operating on skill and grit instead of clarity and alignment…

If you’ve wondered whether you can keep your ambition and reclaim your humanity…

Then yes. This is for you.

And honestly? If you’re not sure? Come try it for a month. Cheaper than a single latte (with oat milk, that is), and doesn’t even waste a cup or plastic lid. As my mother-in-law says: Can’t hurt, might help!

👀 HOW TO JOIN

Become a paid subscriber to my Substack. That’s it.

Because this is our first 100-day community practice — and you’ll be the group who helps shape it — I’m offering founding cohort pricing: $5/month or $50/year.

For this group only.

It’s my way of saying thank you for helping me build something that supports all of us.

Otherwise, no upsells. No portals. No twelve-step funnels.

Just guidance, inspiration, and community to help you do less. Delivered where you already are.

🚨 WHY NOW?

Because nothing is wrong with you — but something is deeply out of sync.

You’ve proven you can do more. Now you deserve to learn how to do less — with more integrity, more energy, and more satisfaction.

The people you care about also want less for you. Your daughter deserves a mother who isn’t running on fumes. Your team deserves a leader who isn’t racing breathlessly all day long, firing off one word emails. And your one precious life deserves to feel fully lived!

In 100 days, you could be someone who:

• makes decisions from clarity, not panic
• sets boundaries without the guilt hangover
• shows up with both strength and ease
• reclaims rest as a strategy, not a luxury
• feels joy again — not as a treat, but as a ritual in your days
• stops betraying yourself in small, insidious ways
• feels drawn forward by what is important, instead of getting pushed around by what’s urgent

All from subtracting what has been quietly weighing you down.

If this year asked too much of you… let the next one give something back.
